Application tracking data – OFF

I do not work for Apple and I have no financial interest in this company.

But I advise you to change your Samsung or any other Android based operating phone for an Apple one. AN apple device with the new iOS 14.5 on it will allow you to modify the Privacy settings in order to present yourself with the option of disabling the application data tracking.  If you so choose, the specific application will stop collecting data about the way you use the other applications or features of your phone.

The app developers use the excuse to collect data about your phone use in order to better serve you with personalised ads and content served by their applications. But in fact, they are not required to disclose the exact data they are collecting about you.

iPhones that are compatible:

•          iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone SE

•          iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

•          iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X

•          iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR

•          iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max

•          iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max

If you allow tracking for an app, it will appear in your Tracking settings that you can manage at any time. Here’s where to find that:

  1. On your iPhone, head to Settings
  2. Swipe down and tap Privacy
  3. Choose Tracking at the top
  4. The default setting is to allow apps to ask for permission to track you
  5. Toggle it off to block all apps from being able to track you – and even ask to track
    1. Choose “Ask Apps to Stop Tracking” or “Allow Apps to Continue Tracking” for any you’ve already approved
  6. If/when you do give permission for an app to track you, you’ll see a list of them under the Privacy > Tracking settings

You can block tracking at any time for individual apps by tapping the toggle next to it

As usual, please do a backup of your iPhone before the update of the iOS.
